Delete your account and data

You can delete your MotorDocket account and everything stored in it at any time, directly in the app. You do not need to contact us first.

Delete everything from inside the app

  1. Open MotorDocket on your device.
  2. Tap the settings icon (top right of the dashboard).
  3. Scroll down and tap Delete account and data.
  4. Read the summary, type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete everything.

This is immediate and cannot be undone. Once confirmed, your records are removed from our systems and cannot be recovered by you or by us.

Delete only some of your data (keep your account)

You do not have to delete your whole account. To remove individual data in the app:

To delete one vehicle and everything attached to it (its records, documents, photos and cover art):

  1. Open MotorDocket and tap the vehicle on the dashboard.
  2. Tap the bin icon at the top right.
  3. Confirm Delete.

To delete a single record or file — a document, receipt, photo, cover-art image, mileage reading, fuel entry, road-tax renewal, insurance policy or car loan:

  1. Open the vehicle, then open the section that holds it (for example Documents, Fuel, Insurance, Loan or Cover art).
  2. Tap the bin icon next to the item, or open the item and tap the bin icon at the top right.
  3. Confirm Delete.

Deleted items are removed immediately and permanently, including any uploaded file stored with them. Everything else in your account is left untouched.

If you can't use the app

Deleting in the app is immediate — there is no request to submit and nothing to wait for, so please use it whenever you can. If you no longer have MotorDocket installed, or you can no longer sign in to the account, email admin@motordocket.com from the address linked to your account, telling us whether you want your whole account deleted or only certain data. We will action the request within 30 days and confirm by email.
